At 26 years old, Dutchman Noel Van’t End (-90 kg) has not less than 14 podiums at the IJF World Tour, including three wins at the Grand Prix of Qingdao in 2014, Samsun in 2015 and Tbilisi in 2016.
Qualified for the Olympic Games in Rio, he lost to Mongol Lkhagvasuren in the round of 16. He was then out of the mats for many months because of an injury. In the spring of 2017, he finished 3rd in the Grand Slam of Ekaterinburg before getting injured again. He came back to competition at the Tunis Grand Prix in January 2018, with a good 3rd place.
At the 2018 European championships in Tel Aviv, dominated by the Spain’s Sherazadishvili in the quarter-finals, he finished very close to the bronze medal, beaten by Greece’s Tselidis, after defeating Georgia’s Gviniashvili by Ippon.
