In Ingushetia, in the heart of Caucasus, combat sports are kings. For Khusen Khalmurzaev, it will be Judo that will animate days. Young, with his twin brother Khasan, 2016 Olympic champion in -81 kg, he will never stop struggling, grappling, fighting… just to… train.

Born on October 9, 1993 in Nazran, the fifth child of six siblings, the sixth being his twin, Khusen first distinguished himself at 17, at the U20 European championships that he brilliantly won in 2011. In the same year, he also reached the final of the U20 World championships.

In 2012, he is again U20 European champion. In 2013, he wins his first medal on the IJF international circuit, bronze in Almaty. Nine more podiums will follow, including wins in Samsun 2016, Hohhot 2017 and Agadir 2018.

His dream ? Play the Olympic Games. He goes for it and goes through the stages little by little. His two bronze medals at the European championships in 2017 and 2019 bear witness to this. Khusen also wants to make a first name.
