He belongs to this category of boxers with whom we know something is going to happen. Often compared to the great Oscar De La Hoya and Saul « Canelo » Alvarez, both of whom he looks up to and admires, Julian Sosa is a very complete boxer, with a tremendous left hook, able to send jabs to control the pace of the fight or to throw powerful punches nonstop when it is necessary to accelerate the decision.
Formed by his father, Aurielano Sosa, a former boxer and, above all, one of the best trainers in New York, where the whole family lives since their departure from Mexico, Julian is an attractive fighter who delivers often panting fights. With a record of 86 wins and 13 losses in amateurs, the Mexican fighter remains undefeated since he became pro in the spring of 2015.
Three years later, at the age of 22, he has 12 wins, including 4 KOs, and a draw, a course that should quickly lead him to a world belt fight. A peaceful man out of the ring, with a smile that can light up an entire room, Julian Sosa turns into a relentless fighter, with a warrior’s mind as soon as he puts on the gloves. His motivation ? « My family and the Mexican people. They are my blood, my pride and allow me to be strong and stay focused on my goal ». His goal ? A world belt and quick !
