Judo : Bronze medallist at the Rio Olympic Games (+100 kg)

Or Sasson : « Against Teddy, I changed my tactic »

Or Sasson : « Contre Teddy, j’ai changé ma tactique »

In Rio, he almost impeached King Teddy during a powerful arm-wrestling. It was in the ½ final. But he finally gave in, because of a Waza-ari taken at the last second. The Israeli Or Sasson (+100 kg) left Brazil with a beautiful Olympic bronze medal, that follows his 2 European silver ones (2015 and 2016). And he doesn’t plan to end his story at this point…

Judo : He missed the Rio Olympics. He’s back, bells on…

Loic Korval : « A big part of me died »

Loïc Korval « Une très grande partie de moi est morte »

He is not the same man that he used to be ! He was very affected by his one year suspension. First, competitively, because he missed the Olympics in Rio, and, most of all, from a human point of view, in which you find misunderstanding, frustration and waste.

If he was damaged, he didn’t go under. Loic Korval is back !... His « Kalashnikov » Judo is rearmed, or so. Because he is now in the -73 kg division.

He knows he wouldn’t make up for lost time, but he doesn’t want to coy it either, but use it. These European Championships in Warsaw (April 20th-23th) may occur too early for the French champion but he wants to have fun… Show ahead !

Judo : What an incredible comeback ! Episode 1

Amandine Buchard : « We can say that I have come a long way… »

Amandine Buchard : « On peut dire que je reviens de loin… » adidas

To come back from nowhereland is like a true understatement concerning Amandine Buchard. Last spring, after 2 unfortunate seasons, she broke down. She quit everything. She left for Spain, disgusted, her passion flied away.

As she says, she fell so far that she could only catch up again. Easier to say than to do… She did, the French woman has brilliantly shined again, in the -52 kg division this time. Finalist in Dusseldorf late February, winner in Tbilisi early April, Amandine Buchard, at 21 years old, has got the fire again.

A comeback that looks like a rebirth at the Warsaw European Championships (April 20th-23th). Why ? How ? She tells us…

Judo : the Rio Olympics, his present and future, his way of teaching… Hajime !

Ilias Iliadis : « No, I don’t like passing on… I love ! »

Ilias Iliadis : JO de Rio, présent et avenir, Judo français… Hajime !

He hasn’t talked a lot since the Rio Olympic Games, since his lost at the 1st round and his retirement. Since then, he keeps training twice a day and passing on his experience through seminars like the one near Paris (France), on April 2nd.

For him, it’s not a job, that’s « half of him ». The Maestro has a lot of fun. 2004 Olympic champion and 3 times World champion (2010, 2011, 2014), Ilias Iliadis takes a break but, at 30 years old, he may not have said his last word…

Judo : reactions about the Ilias Iliadis seminar in France

« He is generosity. He passes on a lot »

Judo : témoignages sur le stage d’Ilias Iliadis

Obviously, logically, Ilias Iliadis seduced ! The 2 times Olympic medallist and 3 times World champion from Greece was in his musical headspace during the seminar co-organized by the regional league of « Ile de France » and Double D / adidas, held near Paris.

The Georgian school’s strings, the guards, the movement, the Seoi, the mental strenght, the fighting spirit, the will, the commitment… He had a tremendous time sharing the essence of his Judo. But what are the trainees taking from it ? What did they retain ? They share it…
